A Deep Water discussion in real life. Wednesday 7 December

The current exhibition Deep Water is attracting much interest. So, follow this up and come to meet some of the artists for our Deep Water discussion in real life, on 7th December from 4 till 7 pm followed by drinks. Come to talk about what has inspired them and what inspires us about what we see. It is for us, a new kind of discussion event. It will be live, with a virtual element. But we are not broadcasting it – so you need to be there in the room with us.

Meet some of the artists

Join us for a convivial tour of the exhibition together with the artists and some of their collaborators. Those who can join us live will do so, and the others will join either by recorded film or live on WhatsApp. Coming along on the day will be Liz McGowan, Mary Blue and glass artist Phillipa Silcock. Joining us live via WhatApp will be Zena Holloway, Julia Manning and her adviser eel expert Andy Don, who is beaming in from Bologna where he will be attending a conference talking about his latest research. We are hoping that Colleen Flanigan and Dawn Roe might pop in virtually from the United States. Aude Bourgine from Rouen will make us a little film in French.

We will talk about what has inspired and informed them, as well as what is inspiring and informing us, the viewers about what we see and feel.

The event will be in the gallery both downstairs and upstairs. It will be helpful to know numbers in advance, so please book via mail@groundworkgallery.com  But also we will be happy if you just turn up on the day – either way – please be prepared to put £5 in our donation pot.
