Artist’s Books

Alongside the major exhibition themes, the gallery has specialised in small portable works of art which are made from natural and recycled materials. There is a range of jewellery, artist’s books and small special editions. Each season and each exhibition brings new themes and new works by new people. Many of the works are made specially and are unique, or in very limited supply.

Prices range from £35 for a small ring or ear-rings to £60-£120 for a necklace, up to £500 for a statement piece.

Liz McGowan - Suddenly a wave, 2017
Artist’s folding book in presentation box with tide-line-treasure

The artist made images of moons, one each week over a 7 week period, on the shore at Cley-next-the-Sea, on the North Norfolk coast.  Each moon reflects the moon phase of that day and is made from the material of the tideline on that day.

7 photographic images on folding card. Presented in a box, each folding book tied with fine thread and a piece of tide treasure. Edition 25.

Moon installations were made on the beach, one each week over a 7 week period, at Cley-next-the-Sea. ·The book records photographs of each installation which reflects the moon phase of that day and is made from the material of the tideline on that day. It is presented, tied with found beach materials, in a plain black box in which it fits exactly.
